I have 2 children, a gorgeous 3 year old girl and a man child. I was a medic in the Royal New Zealand Navy for 8 years which led to a career in Paramedicine. I am now a casual paramedic with St John and really love getting out on the road and helping people in their times of need.
I love the toy library because it’s a great way to meet other parents with children similar age to yours, the toys are always new and exciting for the kids to play with and it saves sooo much money. We have only ever brought our daughter books and all her toys have either been gifted or are borrowed from the toy library. She really enjoys being able to choose some toys that interest her at the time. I also love that you can borrow all the ‘big’ toys you don’t particularly want to buy as you know soon enough they will grow out of them anyway and then you have to store it! Fun Fact about me I like to sleep with my feet sticking out the side of the bed! |

I love the toy library because my kids love playing with different toys on a regular basis. We moved here from Melbourne in May 2017 with just a few boxes, and it has been so wonderful not having to buy any expensive, space consuming toys. We also live in a small farmhouse, so no room to keep lots of toys anyway.
The toy library has also been the reason for my connection to the community here in Bulls. I have lived in many towns before but not one where I have felt part of the community and being part of the toy library has definitely been the reason for this. |

I love that we can always change up the toys we have at home without buying new toys all the time. I also love that my children understand that the toys we borrow need to be returned so that other children can have a turn with them! They love visiting the toy library and choosing new toys to take home!
We joined the Bulls Toy Library back in 2017 because we wanted to be able to borrow large outside toys that we could have for a little while and then return! Fun Fact about me I've lived in 3 different countries on 3 different continents. When we moved to Bulls it was my 11th town in 10 years - but I've now lived in Bulls longer than any other place since I was 13 years old! |

I am from England and have lived in NZ since 2015.
I live on a lifestyle block just outside of Marton, where I can indulge my chicken keeping problem and my keen interest in growing and gardening. I love so many things about the Toy Library is hard to know where to start but I joined so that my children could get a wide range of toys appropriate for their age and development without me having to spend much money on them. I love that my children get the enjoyment of choosing new toys regularly. I really love that Bulls Toy Library is run by some really passionate people who work hard to keep the new toys coming in and that it's supported by a community of wonderful families. It is run by local families for local families. |

I love about the toy library that my two children can try out heaps of toys, without costing the world. When they get bored, we swap for new ones!
I joined the toy library because I wanted to do something for my community. I have made some new friends and love the social aspect of the toy library. Fun Fact I LOVE musicals - my fave playlist features songs from musicals on repeat, and my kids hate it when I play it in the car :) |

I am a proud mum to Lola and am looking forward to welcoming twins in 2021! My motivation for joining the toy library was living in a very small home and not having the space to store a whole lot of toys! Being able to have new toys in the house every two weeks also keeps play and learning fun and I love the added bonus of knowing I’m not buying a bunch of toys that will end up in the bin one day! I love the social side of the toy library and have made some awesome friends through volunteering. |

I'm a mum of 2, Sally and Lachie, and a teacher at Clifton School. I enjoy being part of the toy library for the social aspect and the ability to 'rent' toys for my children and return them every fortnight. It gives them a chance to explore and play with new toys on a regular basis. Fun Fact about me I'm an avid performer, the arts are my passion next to teaching and I love to bring my performing to my teaching and my role as a mum, it makes everyday interesting. |
EMMA |
I am ECE trained and previously taught at Bulls Kindergarten however I am currently a stay at home Mum of Hudson and chief calf rearer I love being surrounded by friends and family and exploring new places.
I love the toy library because it means we don't have to have as many toys at home. I can follow and respond to Hudsons interest as he grows and develops. Bulls toy library is very well resourced and without a doubt I can find something to extend and challenge him. Each time I swap toys it is like Christmas, Hudsons whole face lights up with excitement. Always something different to keep him busy. |
TAMSIN |
Kia ora koutou, I am a trained ECE and Primary teacher. I currently share my time between being a Māmā to Theo and working part time as an Early Intervention Teacher for the Ministry of Education, supporting tamariki with diverse needs is my passion.
My whānau joined the Bulls Toy library in 2019 and we couldn't be happier to be part of this great community! Part of my teaching and personal philosophy in life is around being able to nurture and extend upon tamariki interests and learning needs and also around making conscious efforts to be sustainable. Becoming a member of Bulls Toy Library supports this lifestyle and allows our son Theo to explore a huge variety of different resources and to share in excitement around these! We love seeing his response to new play spaces and resources that we pick up! The toy library has endless opportunities for your tamariki to engage with their imagination, to be creative, to spark curiosity, to extend on their learning, and to have oodles of FUN! Fun Fact about me I have two cats called Simba and Lady, and also a labrador called Tinka; can you tell I'm a Disney fan! |

I am from Munich (Germany) and have been living mostly in New Zealand since 2011 in my second home Marton working as a Project Manager.
The toy library has so many great toys that we would have never thought to try out but were some of my daughter's favourite toys. There is such a great range of toys for every age and interest. When I joined I wanted to help out in my community and get to know some other local mums. Fun Fact about me Even though I am fluent in English I have to count in German if I wanted to count quickly and correctly. |
