Kia ora koutou,
My whānau and I live in Te Papaioea/Palmerston North and have been members of Bulls Toy Library since 2019. I am currently a Stay-at-home Māmā to Theo (4) and Darcie (1) and when working I am an Early Intervention Teacher with my background being in Early Childhood Education/Primary. We really enjoy being part of the Bulls Toy Library community and the benefits that come with it! I am passionate about being able to nurture and extend upon tamariki interests and learning needs and also around making conscious efforts to be sustainable - the toy library makes this achievable for us. We love seeing our tamariki respond to new play spaces and resources that we pick up; their curiosity is sparked, they get to be creative and use their imagination, and have oodles of FUN! |
ELLEN

I'm Ellen, and I'm mum to Maggie, 6, and Hamish, 4. We've been in Bulls now for 5 years and have been members of the Toy library the whole time. We love the Toy library so much, my children have benefited immensely. It has saved us so much money over the years and I've never accumulated a lot of toys as the Toy library provides our toy rotation.
I'm so proud to be part of the committee, I've seen the Toy library grow from being closed to used by many families from Bulls and surrounding areas. |

Kia Ora everyone,
I live at Turakina Beach with my partner, dogs and chickens. Needless to say we spend a lot of time at the beach either walking the dogs, beach combing or fishing. I've spent the last 20 years in the health sector working with people at the other end of the age bracket so have done a complete flip with this position. I have always wanted to work in a library but had envisioned myself surrounded by books, not toys. Now I'm thinking toys sound a lot more fun! I have always loved having children around me and am interested to see what toys they choose to play with and then how they use them, children can be so very creative. I am really excited to be a part of the Toy Library Whanau and I am looking forward to meeting you all. |
JULIANNE
|
Hi my name is Julianne. I grew up in Kiwitea where my father grew potatoes and carrots. After leaving home my ex-partner and I moved around the lower North Island, for different work and study opportunities which also included 6 months in Surfers Paradise, Australia. 2 years ago I purchased a Versatile land and house package and had a house built in Foxton. I'm now settled there with my Airedale Terrier Kizzie and 2 cats, Hope and Oscar.
I'm really looking forward to meeting all the families involved with the toy library and seeing the delight on the little ones faces as they choose their toys. I'm just jealous while growing up I never had such fantastic toys to choose from, especially the tractors! |
JENNY |
Kia Ora everyone,
Our wee whānau live in Feilding and I'm currently a stay at home mum to our 3 busy kiddies aged 8, 6 and 4 years old. We joined the Bulls Toy Library around 6 years ago and are so blown away by the quality and range of the toys available. It's been amazing to swap toys in and out as it suits our ages, stages and children's interests. I also love that we don't have to store huge amounts of toys in our house! It's taken a few years (and another baby stage) to get through but now I'm lucky to be a part of the toy library community and looking forward to contributing more as a member of the committee. |
KATE |
Kia ora koutou, we are an Airforce family living in Feilding and have a little boy (3) and girl (1). I split my time between staying at home with the children and working part time in central government policy. We’ve only recently joined the Toy Library after moving to the Manawatu - and love it so much that I’ve joined the committee. There’s always great excitement in our house when we borrow new toys from the Toy Library. As a military family being able to loan toys works so well as we move around a lot.

EMMA |
Hiya I’m Emma and I have two children Hudson (3) and Amalie (4months). We own our own farming business as well as my husband manages his family dairy farm. I also make and sell candles as a wee side job. We have been with the toy library since Hudson was 6months old and absolutely love it! We have saved so much money and I just love the excitement he gets from choosing new toys and then having them to play with for a fortnight. Really allows us to follow his interests! I just love being a part of the committee and the friendships I have made. I enjoy helping with important decisions and toy purchases.

KYLIE |
Kia Ora,
I am proud mum to my 4 beautiful souls 1 boy (7) & 3 girls (5, 3 & 1) also proud step mum to a wonderful 10 year old girl. I share my life with my perfectly imperfect man child who is a dairy farmer. Our house is always full of fun, crazy, loudness and loads of love. I joined the toy library as a volunteer when my final baby was just a few months old as a good way to get back into the community and help build some more connections with the families in our town with children of similar ages. I also love playing with toys! Fun fact about me I love dancing and all things musical performing. I did ballet for about 15 years and although I don’t officially dance anymore… I do enjoy a good boogie in the lounge with my children. |
I'm Cayla, mum to Skye 4, and Tyler, almost 2. We moved to Bulls last year for my husbands work in the defense force. I am a stay-at-home mum and work from home part time as a spray tan artist. We have been members of the toy library for the last few months, and absolutely love what it offers! I recently joined the committee, and I am already enjoying the sense of community I feel being part of it. I'm looking forward to what I can offer to the toy library and the other committee members.
